The My Jumpstart to Independence returned to Miami! The conference was hosted at the City Mission Worship Center in Allapattah. When participants walked through the door they were greeted by our staff and escorted to the main space where they were led through three hallmark workshops aimed at developing the participants’ competencies in financial literacy, health literacy, and social literacy. New SMART DREAMS Homes Sponsors Luc and Krystal Longmire opened the conference with a bang as they gave the opening Keynote together. The participants had the opportunity to get to know each other better through fun games and interactive Real World Experiences. Dance competitions, prize giveaways, and inspiring talks are just a few of the engaging activities participants can be a part of. This time around we partnered with the Miami Book Fair which graciously donated over 100 books for our attendees. Several participants walked away with 5+ books of their choosing! We look forward to partnering with them again at our next conference. So to all the bookworms out there, you won't want to miss it!
